Healers are an essential part of our communities. They hold wisdom and knowledge that helps us reconnect with one another. With such a large task, it’s common for healers to become exhausted by their practice. In order to stay grounded and take care of oneself, it’s important for healers to find self-care practices that leave them feeling rested and rejuvenated. One of the first things to fall by the wayside when caring for others is our nutrition. It’s important for healers to take the time to listen to their bodies, so that they can nourish themselves while caring for others. A diet that is full of vegetables and whole grains can help healers avoid the effects of chronic stress. If you are a busy healer, then chances are you’ll want to have a self-care plan in place before you feel burnt out. If you are already feeling burnt out, then you may want to take a self-care assessment, which looks at the time you are setting aside to be with yourself. This includes anything from a walk on the beach to spending time with those you love. The best self-care plans help you tap into your authentic self and leave you feeling calm and rejuvenated.
